alright..
it's been a busy week.
But the good news.. the project is developing smoothly as we hope to start shooting mid July for the preserve sequences and aerials.. to pick back up early August for combat sequences and remainder of script.
I'd like to add how wonderful the town of Mineola has been in the development of our little action film. Lynda Rauscher, David Stevenson, the ATF, David Madsen, the entire volunteer fire department, the police chief, etc... they're all folks willing to help some young filmmakers chase a dream. Thank you.
I believe I left off with the shoot in the pasture. The footage turned out great (bug Todd for clips of the composited muzzle flash), inspiring us to consider creating a combat sequence.
So we plotted out this little moment with a small platoon and a stray bullet. (can't explain too much)
I handed the idea off to John Kelly, he came back with a challenge. At the same time, I met with actor Frederic Doss. He asked me if I had it in me to make a proper action film. We have intentions to start an acting group for my films. More on that later... Fred's been in Transformers and the soon to be released GI Joe. Upon talking to him, the plan really swung into motion.
