As promised, I am uploading some composited images of our test shoot from a few weeks back. These images represent a sequence we shot specifically to test how I would go about compositing the special effects. Mocha for After Effects CS4 is a great stand-alone motion tracking software and utilizing it will be key to extract motion data for all of our in-field shooting, this will help us better achieve exact movement for all of our composited video and images.
These images were composited mainly from live action video and 3D models built in Bryce 6.0 some, however, are simple Photoshop layers.
Sam running from a fictitious blast! Oh, and the JAS39 Gripen!
Sams brother in-law Matt, a real life Marine, was willing to drag himself through posion oak for us. But, of course he would, he's a marine! They get tha job done!
These images are just a taste of what we have planned for the visual effects. Soon, we will be posting video to the Tripwire site of the fully composited sequence. So, keep an eye on our blog to see how the special effects progress. Thanks to all of you who take interest in what we do way out here in the infinite East Texas country!
